The Happy Girl !
Once upon a time, there was a small little girl with raging
fire within her. She was the perfect epitome of pure happiness. She never saw
the world as a selfish place. She discovered happiness in her own little
imaginary world. No one judged her, no one criticized her. She was hard to
break. She didn’t know what the word ‘DEFEAT’ meant because every time she fell,
she tried getting up stronger than before. She was her own bundle of joy and
never did she long for a prince charming to make her happy. She wasn’t aware of
complex feelings like ‘depression’, ‘loneliness’ and so on. She was happy being
her own self. She aimed to conquer the stars. Every step she took depicted her strength,
confidence and determination to keep moving in spite of the rough roads for she
never knew what the word “Impossible” meant. She imagined a life she wanted to
live after years and accordingly she kept moving in the direction towards her
goal.
As she began to get older, her expectations of her “Happy Life” turned into an illusion. She soon became a part of this negative world. All she knew was to blame others as well as her own self for all the happenings. The society began to judge her, compare her with others and demotivated her. She started feeling heavy. Unknown fears of being defeated began to conquer her. She was filled with insecurities. She began feeling void- a feeling of having everything yet nothing. She felt her dreams were too far to achieve now. She became everything she never wished to be. She wasn’t meant to be what she was. She was born to achieve and not give up easily. She cried herself to sleep. She faced huge emotional turmoil. Her natural smile was soon replaced with a fake, formal smile.

But, wait,
isn’t she the same little girl who was happy being herself? Isn’t she the
independent girl who used to walk with her head held high? Isn’t she the one
who never gave up? Where is she now? Why has she changed now? Where is her
determination now? Is she so easy to break now? Isn’t she strong enough to face
life with courage? Has she lost her own battle?
(To every person who feels lost and stranded at some or the
other point of their lives)
Remember who you were. Remember what your dreams are. Remember
what you wanted to be. Time changes but don’t get carried away with it. Never lose
yourself in this process of change. Never let this cruel world fade your smile.
Never let the child inside you die without achieving your dreams. Never depend on
momentary things for your happiness. Be you. You are more than enough to make
yourself happy. Never give up easily. Don’t let your emotions control you. Sometimes
getting lost is just a matter of time but losing yourself with time is the
worst punishment you could give to yourself. Never let the happy girl inside
you die, for she is your voice, she is you, she is everything you want to be.
